so this past semi-week (and by ’semi’ i mean from tuesday night until today) has been quite interesting. the YAPB (that’s youth adult partnership board for all you non-yapb people) had their annual christmas caroling thing on wednesday, which was wicked fun. always nice to be able to walk around aimlessly while bellowing christmas carols to a bunch of old people and get away with it. plus tony paid for food, so it was all good. it was good to get together with (some of, and by that a very small some) last years board, and meet all the new people that decided to join (yaaaaay!), and of course got to do the usual of pick noelle up and drop her off back home. so it was all nice and dandy.
thursday and friday i basically spent working at mom and dad’s office trying to fix the ever-present problem of trying to organize the labels. oh, what a nightmare. it’s nice that my parents are sending out christmas cards to people, but the sheer number (several thousand people are getting these, btw) is always daunting. luckily my parents are being nice enough to put me on the clock while doing it. w00t! oh, and i saw bp on wednesday. i had to go visit him, since i’ve known him since 4th grade (no, really, i’ve known him that long). i’m possibly thinking of going to tomorrow’s taize service just to go to a church service and actually being able to get communion (damn catholics, they’re so picky. episcopals are MUCH more accepting).
today i was able to sleep in (like the past 3 days before today, but yay anyways for sleeping in). i like sleeping in, especially since i’m on college-student time, not the-rest-of-the-world time. i also went to the dump to drop some of dad’s junk off. lots and lots of old boxes. i have a feeling that the number of them is going to exponentially increase by the time my birthday comes up. i also got to lug all of his old meant-to-plant-but-couldn’t-find-room-in-the-yard plants. those i did in a seperate trip though, and luckily the people at the dump let me throw all that crap in the shed instead of on the scale. good thing too, cos i hate having to go on the scale. it’s a royal pain in the ass.
so i’ve essentially gone through a half tank of gas in 4 days. wtf. i have not been driving that much, and have only put 200 miles on the truck since i’ve gotten home. i gues that’s not all that bad, a 400 mile range on a pickup that’s the size of the flippin’ queen mary, but still. i hate how everyone else in my family can drive greater distances than me and still go through less gas than me, but yet again i did happen to get my mom’s lead right foot. o well. whatever.
as of right now i just finished up making a copy of one of my mix cd’s for my sis, and listenin to some hootie & the blowfish. there’s nothin better than listenin to music that sounds like it could’ve been released this year but came out when you were a six year old. flippin’ sweet.
i guess this is the end of my post, folks. well, that is if there’s anyone who actually reads this. whatever. well, i’m off to listen to some more music while i wait for this computer to finish charging. oh, i almost forgot, the timestamp on these posts is wrong, so only trust the date thinger. yupp.
